Housing support pairs a stable place to live with the in-home care that keeps it stable: flexible living arrangements supported by live-in or visiting caregivers. It exists for adults, often with disabilities or health needs, who cannot safely live alone and would rather not move into a facility, and it is built case by case with the people involved.

Housing support is different: help finding and keeping a stable living arrangement, with non-medical caregivers who visit or live in. The housing is the person’s own home; the care comes to them, through services like personal care visits and companion care.

Yes, constantly. DHHS service coordinators, care managers, and discharge planners refer people to us, and we report back so plans stay current and nothing quietly goes out of date. They are paid separately, and being clear about that up front matters. Rent and living costs are always the resident’s own, through their income or benefits. The care side may be waiver-funded through Medicaid home care for enrolled clients, and Nebraska’s waiver even includes a service for moving from a facility back into the community.
